That puts the six nominees across a roughly 27 cm range from Sabrina Carpenter to Morgan Wallen. The comparison does not predict who will win the VMA; it shows the official nominee lineup on one literal height scale, removing the distortion from footwear, posing and camera perspective.
Morgan Wallen's public height listings disagree sharply. IMDb lists 186 cm, but multiple adult-height profiles converge around 179 cm, historical baseball records list him around 5 ft 11 to 6 ft, and a specialist barefoot-height site estimates 176.5 cm. Stand Next To therefore uses 179 cm as the best-supported working value rather than the isolated 186 cm listing.
